Hello again, Dimensionerds! In case you’ve checked, there’s a massive update on the PTS, nearly 5GB worth! Wardrobe changes are up and a whole slew of interactive dimension items. Sky Projectors, music boxes and NPCs abound, all for direct sale off the store for varying amounts and currencies. The projector shown at the top, for example, cost me a whopping 30 lucky coins (sarcasm), or it can be picked up for 270 credits. All prices given here are with the patron discount. All prices are subject to change, given the nature of the PTS. All things shown here are in a testing state, and not guaranteed to make it to live servers.
I didn’t have the 7500 Sourcestones needed to buy the River of Souls sky projector, but I did buy everything else–and 2 Steppes of Infinity projectors, which I foresee getting a great deal of use in my own upcoming builds. Remember when on the PTS that credit purchases are deducted from your live account balance (that would be why I didn’t use the credit alternative for the projector!).
I can’t transfer Baradara, but I did manage to get Whatchacallit over, since I intend to rebuild Black Flower Shrine, but don’t want to rip down this beloved dimension on live servers just yet. It made the perfect dimension, instead, to check out the new projectors in action. But more than projectors, the music boxes! Goboro Reef, Draumheim, Tarken Glacier and Iron Tomb are all on PTS now to listen to in your dimensions. The prettiest music box, however? The NPC Arethea, who sings a more subtle version of the Siren Song music box that you can get with Summerfest.
Needless to say, with all the NPCs that I bought on PTS, my PTS Item Display dimension is a very noisy place! Along with standard humanoid NPCs, clickable objects, like Cosmologist Mann’s Journal, Lord Arak Radio and the Ghar Colony Network, an Akvan Totem and Kondraum’s Liver (in case you didn’t get enough of escorting it through Draumheim while questing!).
Prices for NPCs, currently, range from 176 platinum or 225 credits to 1364 plat and 787 credits, with no special currencies or achievements required. Whether that changes or not remains to be seen.
Now that we’ve got all the fancy stuff out of the way, I’m really hoping to see some building blocks. Please? Pretty please?
All items shown are on PTS under the character name Barada, in the dimension called PTS Item Displays, with the exception of the snow sky projectors (strictly for visibility issues). Permissions are set to public move and place, so feel free to go in and play around with whatever you like…and please excuse the mess.
