Another 3.7 Update and MORE Summerfest Items! (SPOILERS)

The only actual model I do not have on the PTS, the moth from Planetouched Wilds.

Hello again, Dimensionerds!  In case you haven’t heard, Patch 3.7 is supposed to go live this Wednesday, 13 July.  Summerfest will begin on Thursday, the 14th.  It’s finally here!

Birds, fish, wisps and moths, oh my!  There was a new update to the PTS at the end of the week where the items teased during the Trion livestream made their appearance and Tacitus was nice enough to log in on a Sunday to pass out goodies.  He also passed out painted wood scratchers that will permanently be a part of the 3.7 update, so there’s even more building blocks to preview as well, so let’s get started!

Pictured above are more random bags for Summerfest, featuring NPCs of different varieties.  For the most part, the animals/wisps are stationary, but there are a few that can be clicked to move around, and all of the wisps can be selected to be animated.  The bags, as you can see, are Bound to Account when purchased, but can be gifted, and the items themselves are not bound at all.

From left to right, white, red, yellow, green and blue wisps, all set to the Stationary position. To make them move, simply right click the items while they are still in your bag. Have a large area clear for them to zoom around in.

It’s hard to show in a screenshot just how fast and far the wisps move when they’re selected to do so, but these NPC creations will need a relatively large amount of clear space to move around, especially when compared to the birds and the fish.  Please also remember that as NPCs, none of the items can be resized from the default, although they can be rotated.

The Skate’s movement path is comparable to some of the other NPCs path, so he’ll work great in smaller areas, and the eyes also move, on both versions of the skate.  The other fish maintain a swimming animation, but do not actually move.  The Koi and Prismatic Fish have a higher chance of dropping than the Anglerfish versions, so if you’re hoping for a piranha pond, some trading may be involved.

I’ve indicated in the slideshow which birds are only stationary, and which birds can be set to move.  As always, all the of the new NPCs except for the moth are located in Whatchacallit’s Proving Ground on the PTS (until Wednesday after the patch, when they’ll be in Whatchacallit’s Proving Ground on Greybriar).  As usual, the World Event tab will be up on the Rift store after Wednesday’s update.

Shown above are the painted wood building blocks from the Scratchers that will be going live as a permanent item with 3.7.  Currently on the PTS, each scratcher is 22 credits per item, and they give a mix of 4-6 building blocks per scratcher.

My normal disclaimer, a bit late this time:  everything on the PTS is subject to change and may not make it to live servers, or prices shown may change when items transition from PTS to live.

Also going live with 3.7, Poison, Burning and Nightmare artifact sets for Gloamwood and Stonefield, each version rewarding a Ram or Bat that matches the type.  The NPC items are trophy unlocks, so additional versions will be able to be purchased from the artifact vendors in the major cities (Meridian, Sanctum, Tempest Bay).
